Getting It Done….Barely

So, in my post on Thursday, I was mentioning all the things that I could possibly do today and how I wasn’t sure which things to do, etc.  I couldn’t pick and choose so I just found a way to do them all.

I got up this morning and I really, REALLY wanted to be lazy and do nothing.  But I’m too proud of what I’ve accomplished so far in my jogging, so I took the time and did my program for today.  80 minutes…60 minutes of jogging and 20 minutes of walking…6.1 miles.  Yay, me!

After jogging, I stopped by the roofing project site.  I didn’t do too much on this visit except take a few pictures of the goings on.  All the men were still getting all the logistical/repair work done and so I was just trying to stay out of their way.  Since this was the case, I ran home really quickly to wash all my jogging sweat off of me, then met two other friends at Wal-Mart to do some shopping.

One of the ladies is in charge of the Operation Christmas Child shoebox collection at our church.  So if there are people who don’t want to or feel like they don’t know how to put a box together, they can donate money to the church and then she uses the donated money to go shopping with and she puts the box together for them.  We worked on finding items for about 40 boxes.

After that, I went back to the roofing project because I knew that they were losing some of their help and I wanted to be available.  I helped feed shingles and run ridge caps for the rest of the evening.  It did reach a point where we were all pulling out our phones and using our flashlight apps until they finally found a few lights that we could bring up on the roof.  The project was being finished by lamp light, but it was finished!

After my very full day, I was so wiped out that I actually fell asleep in the recliner.  Luckily, I woke up in time to type this little recap up so that I can get it posted by the end of the day.  I’ll try my best to make sure tomorrow’s entry is posted before 11:54 pm!  Hope you all are having a great weekend!

  1. I had a busy day yesterday too and did the same thing; had to write a post to squeeze in just before midnight to keep up with NaBloPoMo. Who knew this would be so hard?
